Welcome to Resurrection

"A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be consoled, because they are no more."  Matthew 2:18

At Resurrection, we add our cries to Rachel's lament:  for children who are hungry; for persons who are not safe at home; for women and girls who are undervalued, overlooked and abused; for the senseless death of so many of our young to gun violence; for our relationships that are broken; for the lonely and the lost; for the distressed and the discouraged.

We invite you with open arms
To come along to our church,
We hope that you can join with us
In worship and God’s word
If you have needs, and want someone
To listen and to pray,
We’re here for you with open hearts
And God’s love to give away.

Pastor Dale Ziemer is excited to join us as interim pastor at Resurrection.  He lives in Palatine with his wife Beckie. They have two married sons, with 3 grandchildren and a 4th on the way.  Pastor Dale served in fulltime pastoral ministry until 1990 when he joined the staff of the Center for Parish Development, Chicago.  He is co-managing director there, and finds time frequently to ‘answer the call’ as a pastor at various points of congregational transitions.  His home congregation is Our Saviour’s in Arlington Heights. He is a native of Wisconsin and enjoys his grandchildren, along with hobbies of outside home projects, gardening, and reading historical novels.
