I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. -Isaiah 43:19

ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response

Council approved the collection of a free will offering to be given to Lutheran Disaster Response for "Hurricane Response - United States". The offering collection started on September 10th and will continue for three weeks ending September 24th. Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those whose homes have been devastated or who have been otherwise affected by Hurricane Harvey and Irma for years to come. We wish to thank all who have contributed to Lutheran Hurricane Disaster Relief in our September fund drive. We raised $981 and were able to match those funds from our Share the Gift program. A check for $1,962 was sent to the ELCA Synod relief fund. 100% of the funds received will be used to help those in need as a result of the damage caused by Hurricanes.

ELCA World Hunger Challenge

Council approved to participate in Synod's $1 million challenge for ELCA World Hunger. A free will offering will be collected starting Sunday October 1st, for three weeks ending October 15th. Gifts received by the ELCA through June of this year total $749,342. Their goal of $1 million by Reformation Day is within reach.

Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs" (John 21:15).

If you have already given to feed his lambs, please pray and consider making another gift before October 15th. All donations received during the collection period will be matched up to $1,000 through the Share the Gift program. Donations will be accepted at church services beginning October 1st and by the church office during the three week period.

Thank you for your October contributions.  We raised $695, and with matching funds from the Share the Gift program, we were able to send $1,390 to the ELCA World Hunger Challenge.

Synod made their goal of $1 million. God bless.

to reach beyond our walls and share the Good News,
bringing Christ to the world through Prayer, Love and Action.

We are Disciples in Christ

Join us in the Lord’s ministry...Beyond sharing the Word and the Lord's table at Sunday worship services, we are deeply involved in community outreach.  Our congregation reaches out to the poor, homeless, those in need through P.A.D.S. (Public Assistance to Deliver Shelter), Loaves and Fishes, Alcoholics Anonymous, Food 4 Life food pantry, The Giving Closet clothing closet and so much more to serve the needs in our area.
