Welcome to Resurrection - a servant church

Compassion for those in need is important at RLC. Over 10 years our outreach has evolved from sending support to other communities, to a focus now in our own more local Franklin Park. We are now known for our outreach programs throughout Leyden Township. Even as our membership has gotten smaller, our outreach ministries have expanded. We are a constant presence and stability for many during difficult economic times.

Learn more about who is participating and how, by clicking on
"Community Outreach” on the menu bar above.

People who participate in these ministries indicate how they have grown in faith as a result, and are seeing God working. RLC members and non-members join side by side both to organize and provide hands on service. Through our service we are being shaped as disciples of Christ, “as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me.” Matthew 25.

"Will you be my servant?"

Our outreach is our witness in Franklin Park. If these ministries decline or are ended by lack of resources (leaders, helpers, finances, donations, facilities) the wider community is the loser. We invite you to JOIN THE MISSION at Resurrection Lutheran Church.

WELCOME PASTOR ZIEMER

Pastor Dale Ziemer is excited to join us as interim pastor at Resurrection.  He lives in Palatine with his wife Beckie. They have two married sons, with 3 grandchildren and a 4th on the way.  Pastor Dale served in fulltime pastoral ministry until 1990 when he joined the staff of the Center for Parish Development, Chicago.  He is co-managing director there, and finds time frequently to ‘answer the call’ as a pastor at various points of congregational transitions.  His home congregation is Our Saviour’s in Arlington Heights. He is a native of Wisconsin and enjoys his grandchildren, along with hobbies of outside home projects, gardening, and reading historical novels.
