BASKETBALL Our Resurrection basketball team finished the season with a record of 4-12. Twelve high school aged youth played on this year’s team. In addition to basketball, the team did help out on some service projects around the church during the season. We attended a Loyola University basketball game as their guests in January. We also participated in a Holiday Tournament in Bloomington, IL in December and in the Chicagoland City Tournament for the LAA in February. We won a game in each of these tourneys. More importantly, our team won the traveling Sportsmanship Trophy in the LAA Freshman Division. This is the 3rd time we have won this award in the past three years. Thanks to volunteer coaches, Wayne Molley and Tony Urias for their work with our program. We concluded the season with a Pot Luck luncheon for players and parents on March 13, 2011.
